Leonard Schlosser
Project Executive
Tenure with Clark Pacific: 9 years
What is it about you that most folks don’t know?
My precast career started in High School when I was erecting precast wall panels in Oregon and Nevada during the summers. Removing the rigging from the top of a 40-foot tall 8” thick wall panel got me over any fear of heights early on in my career.
What do you do at Clark Pacific?
My role is a Project Executive for the Structures Vertical. My Technical Management Team helps facilitate job startups and execution through the design, coordination, and submittal phases. We facilitate and coordinate the communication through the Manufacturing and Field Engineering teams of a project with the respective team leaders in those functions.
So far, what has been your favorite project?
The San Jose Airport Long Term Parking Structure started design in November and was erected 7 months later back in 2020 right in the middle of COVID.
How have you contributed to our team most significantly?
Facilitating effective communication between both internal and external customers to bring the best solutions to our projects.
What is your favorite aspect of our industry?
Precast is a life-size box of Legos to me, just figuring out how to put all the pieces together.
What drew you to Clark Pacific originally? And how has Clark Pacific changed since?
Hearing about this “Special Project”, one of a kind being produced by the largest Precaster on the west coast. I felt like a minor leaguer with a chance to join the major league. Thankfully, they called me up and I have been here ever since, plus or minus, a couple of trades.
I started with Clark Pacific in West Sacramento, went to the Field for 18 months, then to Woodland for 2 years, and finally to Southern California (Adelanto/Irwindale/Ontario) for the last 4 years. Seeing people grow within the company and assume different leadership positions has also been an exciting change.
