Apple Park Parking Structures

SF-Bay Area

When Apple decided to consolidate all of its 50 remote working facilities across the Bay Area, new parking facilities were needed to accommodate the roughly 14,000 employees now working at the new centrally located headquarters, and largest office building in the world.

The result was two free-standing parking structures, each providing 3,000 parking stalls, each one 1,574 feet long, more than a quarter of a mile long or the length of five football fields. The General Contractor chose Clark Pacific to continue the precast theme throughout the parking structure, which was the material of choice for the new office building (and also provided by Clark Pacific).

Given the aesthetic versatility of High-Performance Precast Concrete, Clark Pacific was able to meet the innovative design and sleek look of the parking structure as demanded by the architect and owner. All precast concrete components used to build the parking structure featured tapered, radiused edges, similar to the tapered edges found on the owner’s popular electronic products.
