Kaiser Permanente Redwood City MOB

Redwood City, CA

This seven-story, 149-bed hospital was designed utilizing our Architectural Precast Concrete (APC) and Infinite Facade to create a look that seamlessly fits with the surrounding landscape of Redwood City. The façade scope consisted of five different colors, including some very intense and vibrant mixes. A total of three mix colors were used within a single panel. The team utilized internal resources and processes to fabricate multiple liners to achieve the specified design. Clark Pacific’s Glazing Division developed a very successful caulking scope performance to complete the design.

Since this was a medical office building, there was a requirement to make a removable panel for placement and maintenance of the MRI magnets. Design and fabrication were done in a way that allows this “plug panel” to be removed and reinstalled in hours without damage or massive destruction to adjacent materials.
