For a busy strip mall in San Diego, parking was an issue, to the point the tenants felt like they were losing business on the weekends because of the lack of parking in the area. Frank Wong, owner of Two Plus Five family partnership and architect, Richard Baker, structural engineer Mike Hayes, approached Clark Pacific’s business development team to design and build a parking structure to meet the growing needs of the retail tenants and the Jasmine Chinese restaurant. Working from a hand drawn sketch, from the architect, Clark Pacific reached into its library of parking garage designs and finalized the design in a Revit 3D Model. Once the design was approved, Clark Pacific began casting and erecting the one-level, parking structure. Once site work was finished, the structure was erected and completed in about two months, working in sections to maintain parking during construction. The precast building components were installed in less than a week, all in a tight urban setting with mixed retail and residential.
